Hello from the Team

Welcome to the Official 2014 Annual Reunion page, where all updates and information can be found.

As you all know the reunion will be based around the Coolangatta area, which is situated at the southern end of the Gold Coast.

This is a beautiful part of Australia which is easily accessible. It has its own international airport in close proximity which caters for direct NZ flights as well as domestic flights. It is also about an hour’s drive from both Brisbane international and domestic airports. There is ample accommodation and plenty to do. Hopefully while here you will allow extra time to enjoy at least one of the many local attractions.

Sharon, Sue, and myself are looking forward to seeing our plans come to fruition and hope those attending have a great time, reminisce with lots of your old classmates and also get the chance to make some new lifelong friends.

The Friday night Meet and Greet will cost AUD $20 per person and the Saturday Official Dinner will be AUD $50 per person.

All payments must be received by Friday 5th September, which is 4 weeks before the reunion weekend.

There will be no payments on the night.

3rd October Meet and Greet

The Coolangatta Hotel

TIME: 6.00pm til late

VENUE: Icon Lounge, The Coolangatta Hotel

COST: AU$20 per person

The Icon Lounge is a private function room situated on the ground floor of the Coolangatta Hotel. This means we will have our own bar service with allocated bar staff and security, dance floor and amenities. We also have a dance floor and the ability to play our own music for those that want to bust a move or a hip. An assortment of food platters will be served. If something more substantial is required there are restaurant facilities available.
The room will be exclusively ours until 22:00 hrs.

4th October Memorial Service

VENUE: Currumbin RSL

TIME: 11:00am (TBC)

It is a Reunion tradition that we hold a short Memorial Service on the Saturday morning.

This year it will be held at the Currumbin RSL Memorial where we will gather to pay our respects to the fallen servicemen of our countries and to remember those Brats who have passed before us.

Transport will be arranged for those interested in attending.

4th October Official Dinner

VENUE: Feng Shui Restaurant, Coolangatta Bowls Club

TIME: 6:30 pm for 7:00 pm

COST: AU$50 per person

The Official Reunion Dinner will take place at the Feng Shui Restaurant. The restaurant is located at the Coolangatta Bowls Club which is in close proximity to Griffith Street, the main street in Coolangatta. The entrance to the restaurant is via Scott Street, Coolangatta.

We will be serving a buffet meal from 7:00pm. Please let us know when registering interest if you have any special meal requirements. After dinner we can all let our hair down and party.

The restaurant and bar facilities will stay open as long as they are required. The bar serves a selection of wines, beers and soft drink.

5th October Recovery BBQ

VENUE: Coolangatta Beach Foreshore adjacent to the Mantra Hotel

TIME: 10am

After a night of celebrations, what better way to recover than a bbq brunch on the beautiful Coolangatta foreshore.

We will be setting up at one of the many bbq facilities directly in front of the Mantra Hotel and cooking up a light breakfast for your enjoyment.

For those who need their coffee fix, there are a multitude of cafes across the road.

The area has direct beach access for those who’d like to throw themselves in the ocean to clear the cobwebs. There’ll be plenty of time to kick back, relax and chat before everybody heads off…until next year.
